Caprylic Acid Helps Prune Back Candida Overgrowth

When Candida Overgrowth goes unchecked, it can cause digestive issues, leading to leaky gut. This short-chain fatty acid is one of my favorites for supporting yeast balance in the GI tract.

What Is Caprylic Acid?

When yeast is out of balance, look no further. First discovered in goat’s milk, Caprylic Acid is a short-chain fatty acid found in some mammal’s milk, as well as in tropical oils like coconut and palm kernel oil. This marvelous fatty acid actually has a very beneficial effect on microbial balance in the gut, especially with regard to dysbiotic yeast!

Most Caprylic Acid Supplements Don’t Work

That’s right, most of the caprylic acid supplements I researched simply weren’t formulated to get the job done. Caprylic acid is a short-chain, 8 carbon saturated fatty acid that can be absorbed too soon to have any effect, or be damaged and even digested by stomach acid, gastric juices, and your pancreatic enzymes. That’s why I formulated mine to be specially encapsulated and buffered with calcium and potassium caprylates in order to protect its viability, and help it reach the large intestine and colon intact. The buffering mineral caprylates also make my formulation much gentler on the stomach.

Supports For Your Gut Microbiome

Caprylic acid helps create a favorable environment for beneficial probiotics. Because of my concentrated Caprylic Acid’s ability to optimize digestive tract ph balance and create an inhospitable environment for opportunistic microorganisms that have potentially become dysbiotic, it does a fantastic job of helping to promote the ideal environment for beneficial probiotic bacteria.

Caprylic Acid Helps Prune Back Candida Overgrowth & Heal Leaky Gut

Did you know caprylic acid also supports immune and thyroid health? It most certainly does. By optimizing the probiotic environment, and supporting yeast balance in the digestive tract, caprylic acid supports a healthy and normally functioning gut barrier. When your gut barrier is intact, leaky gut is in check. Leaky gut can allow all manner of toxins, and microorganisms, as well as proteins and lectins from the food you directly eat into your bloodstream and lymphatic system where they absolutely shouldn’t be. There, they can create systemic inflammation, wreak havoc on your immune system and even promote autoimmunity and damage your thyroid!

Who Should Take Caprylic Acid?

Caprylic Acid is the right supplement for you if you’re:

  • Tackling digestive tract yeast and Candida overgrowth issues
  • Wanting to optimize the gut environment for healthy probiotic bacteria
  • Tired of the way other Caprylic Acid supplements make your tummy feel
  • Wanting to support your immune system and thyroid health

FAQs

Doesn’t Caprylic Acid cause upset stomach?

As I said above, most of the supplements I researched simply weren’t properly formulated. My Caprylic Acid is bound to the alkaline minerals calcium and potassium in order to buffer them so they don’t upset the stomach. This also helps it reach your large intestine and colon intact so it can exert its beneficial effects where it’s needed most.

Where does Caprylic Acid come from?

While minute amounts of Caprylic Acid can be found in a variety of foods, especially mammalian milks and tropical oils, my supplement is sourced from tropical palm kernel oil.

Is Caprylic Acid safe for children, pregnant women, or breastfeeding mothers?

Caprylic acid supplements are tolerated differently by everyone. In the case of children, I absolutely recommend working with your child’s pediatrician or other qualified healthcare provider before deciding to supplement with it. With regard to pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers, I do not generally recommend caprylic acid supplementation as it can cause a fair amount of ‘die-off’ of dysbiotic yeast. This process can release toxins into the bloodstream as they travel to the liver to be eliminated. If you have any concerns, please work closely with your doctor, midwife, or other qualified healthcare provider.
